Another edition of Where’s Suzanne…

I was a little surprised when I glanced at my fabulous Playgrey 2011 greyhound calendar and realized I’m about to change the March photo of Maggie and her ’65 Mustang over to Cody giving me the sultry look while roaching. (Just Google “Playgrey”. Trust me on this.) I am not sure where the first 3 months of this year have disappeared to. I’ve thought of a number of locations and even searched some, but when I checked under the bed, there were just dust bunnies to greet me and none were named January, February or March.

During the past few months, I’ve been pretty busy getting my photos into as many locations as possible. The majority revolve around the recent Tucson gem and mineral shows and Aerolite Meteorites/Meteorite Men; so lots of rock photos.

Below are some of the recent locations in which my photos are hiding. I may not be able to find the beginning of 2011, but I know where the photos have dispersed to.

And last, but certainly not least, the biggest piece of work I have recently been involved in is a book!

WOOT!

That’s right, my photos are gracing the pages of Geoff Notkin’s newest project “Meteorite Hunting: How to Find Treasure From Space”.

There are a number of interesting bits to read on the testimonials page, many of which comment on the photos. Hee.

My personal favorite:

"Geoff has done an incredible job outlining for everyone the art of finding meteorites.....it's what he loves to do best and I'm certain everyone will enjoy the read from the newest meteorite enthusiasts to the most seasoned professionals.....Also, once you've seen the illustrations and photos, it's apparent that [staff photographer] Suzanne Morrison has provided some of the best meteorite photography I've ever seen. Congratulations to all on a job very well done!" — Arlene

I have one photo on the cover and about 2 dozen photos inside. I had so much fun shooting the photos for the book. My favorite is a historic Brenham piece resting casually on an old Nininger book. Check it out. I suggest ordering a copy, it’s a great read.

ETA - sorry about the funky formatting. Blogger has decided all extra lines between paragraphs should be removed and/or additional ones added in. I tried fixing the code but it didn't work very well. Blogger also won't let me fix the broken links at Steve Arnold (www.arnoldmeteorites.com) or Aerolite Meteorites (www.aerolite.org).
